i found cp as a teen when i was browsing Limewire and I've been hooked ever since. its destroyed my erection, i struggle to get hard even with cp and my mental health is at a low.
I have waves where i'm okay with it and i've got a grip on things, but then the wave of shame/guilt returns and i'm back to square one.

4chan. Im sure a lot of people found it first there because in the early 2000s it was everywhere on that site. I remember things like "MODS ASLEEP. POST CP" or "CHEESE PIZZA THREAD" or "bad parents thread". I remember finding spam links to cp sites, where people were selling and trading stuff on the clear net, and I was so young the girls in the video, despite being 13-15, looked older than I did. I did get in contact with someone on there and traded nudes of myself at like 14 with him in exchange for cp. I also remember seeing extreme stuff around the early days of 8chan. I was still an early teen but the first time I came to a little girl being fucked I knew I myself, was fucked. Previously it had only been family nudism and solo masturbation videos of young girls, but this was the big one, this was full on sex. And sex with a child, not a teen girl like i had seen before.

All of this was on the clearweb and its crazy to think about. I used TOR for most things. Back then you could post on both 4chan and 8chan with a tor ip which is insane to think about now. I abused it a bit, I know there has to be a thread somewhere in the archives of when I stripped naked and cum tributed a little girls photo which caused a shitstorm. I was I think 15. Wild times. I wonder what the wild west will be for kids today. AI maybe?

Honesly fairly recently on discord. I remember watching a youtube video about discord having a CP "problem" and in it the guy talked about servers and group chats where people shared around this stuff and I ended up joining some and started my online journey there :3

Obviously, this is a reallyyy stupid thing to do over discord and I've since deleted all traces I can between myself and that digital identity and spent time learning OPSEC, but yeah, that was my first time seeing it lol (unless you count sending nudes as a kid to other kids, then i've been doing that since i was 11 :p )

For me it is pretty similar to you. I was in my early teens and found out you could search for porn on limewire. At first I was looking for girls that were my age and quickly learned what keywords to use to search for more. I remember being equally shocked/scared/guilty and turned  the first time I found a video of a girl younger than what I was looking for. I quickly stopped the video and deleted it. It was way back in the day in some of those oldschool file sharing softwares. It was very common to stumble upon CP while downloading unrelated things, there was no preview available. i think my problem is that i find it really hard to not connect with people when i'm talking to them (if that makes sense). i enjoy knowing who i'm talking to and making it personal and enjoyable, but that's just something i seriously cant do on places like this or with people like you and that upsets me a little bit tbh. but yeah, i'm slowly but surely learning about opsec :)
