It depends on where you are in the country. In the Southern states pastors are often well respected. The same could be said for much of the Midwest. In the North this is less true as these states tend towards secularism or Catholicism (Northeast).

Not enough for anyone to go into it for the money. The ones making big bucks are the scumbag "God wants you to be rich" televangelists like Joel Osteen. Your average pastor probably earns about $40k USD/year.

Whatever cut-rate insurance (if any) the parish can provide.

Absolutely not safe thanks to the Catholic church's scandals. Holy men are twice-scrutinized now. The only job posting more apt to get a man scrutiny would be elementary school teacher.

Not sure what you mean here. If you are asking if other holy men will turn a blind eye to you with little kids, the answer is probably not.

Depends who you ask.  Preachers are either saints among men or hustlers and con-men. 
If you want to turn religion into a pedo gig, I'd recommend spinning off your church into some sort of cult.  That can be effective for at least a few years, based on history.  People will literally sign over the deeds to their house and give you their entire paycheck if you're convincing enough.  And they'll give you first crack at their daughters; usually when they're hebe age, though.

It'll all come crashing down eventually, but the charismatic ones can get a solid decade out of it.  Just try to not turn it into a mass suicide thing.  Not cool.

Not to paint with too broad of a brush here, but it has been my experience that ministers (as well as a few ministers wives) are some of the kinkiest, sex starved people I know. They just tend to hide it better.

In the town I grew up in there was a pastor and a member of the church that was caught in a public rest room doing homosexual acts together. I have a female friend that grew up catholic and she told me the priest of the church her family went to taught her how to give a blowjob.

It just goes to show you that a lot of church going people are not as holy as they pretend to be! They just want you to think they are!

Unless you want to learn a bunch of esoteric scripture stuff and mainly deal with older adults, your best bet might be to become a youth minister. I've thought about it myself but it's not worth it for me because I'm not religious and I don't think I could fake that...

If one has the charisma and good timing, it can be VERY profitable.  Fucking Billy Graham became an outright celebrity by being the first televangelist in America.

Pat Robertson.
Peter Popov totally got busted being an outright fraud 40 years ago, but people STILL give that sumbitch money in 2024.

As for pedo preachers; we only seem to hear about those after it all comes crashing down.  And like I said earlier, it's usually hebe dudes. 

The Mormons are running way ahead of other western religions in terms of pedoy subsects.  They've already got polygamy in their roots so it's easy to tap into that to get multi-wives.  Then once you've crossed that threshold, it really seems to be easy for Mormon cults to just keep pushing down the age of "marriage" to the point where it's like, "You wear a bra?  Okay, you're my wife now."

There was this huge deal in the US maybe 15 years ago with the FLDS; that's Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints. They were a huge cult offshoot of Mormonism and they pretty much took over this one town in northern Arizona.  The "church" owned most of the houses, the cops in town were all members, and the leader was banging 12-15 year olds left and right.  The Feds chased him between several compounds in Arizona, Texas and South Dakota before finally getting him.  Dudes' serving life now I think.  Or functionally serving life.

Mormons spin off more underage sex cults than other religions in my country, it seems.  Their whole mythology strains plausibility to begin with so I guess if you can get people to believe that, it isn't that much harder to get them to believe that maybe their teenage daughter should spend the night with Elder Doug... to be closer to Jesus or whatever.

These Mormon cults are completely brutal to boys, though.  Once they get into their teens, they literally drive them to Salt Lake City and dump them on the streets.  That's the problem with polygamy; if a few dudes have multiple chicks, then that means there are no chicks for some dudes.  So their solution is to eliminate some dudes from their population every so often by abandoning their sons to the streets of Salt Lake City.  There are literally thousands of men who have suffered this fate as teenagers in recent decades.  If society was less civilized, these cults would almost certainly start wars with neighboring tribes to kill off their "excess" male population with regards to their polygamy.

Mormons have these built in propagation mechanisms.  They encourage their members to have as many kids as they can.  Every male spends two years of their early 20's proselytizing somewhere in the world.  They want their people to always have some kind of 'doomsday' stash of supplies.  If we lived in a world without the internet where you could fact check all the kookier shit they say, the Mormons would be rapidly expanding even more than they are.  It feels like a religion that's just biding it's time until civilization collapses so it can swoop in and become the default religion for the survivors.
Once the world becomes Fallout, no one will question the golden plates or the magic underwear or Native Americans killed the Jews in North America or the simple reality that Joseph Smith was a career con artist who got super lucky with one of his scams.

All this to say if you want to become a religious leader who has free reign of multiple young hebes, the Mormons are the fast track to underage pussy.
