Do Americans still name their kids 'Dick' or 'Karen'?
What is the demographic profile of those who still do?
Ta'i Ne'od Bi-l-Fay. Mesh La-Hada Ha-l-Fay.
Hebbeeni W-Fakri Shwy.
Come, Let's sit in the shade. This shade is no one's property.
Love me. And ponder for a bit.

"Dick" was always a nickname for guys who's first name was Richard.
I genuinely don't know why.
I'm pretty they're still making new Richards out there.

Not a lot of people named "Gaylord" anymore.  That's another one where the jokes write themselves.  Or at least they did on the playground in the 90's.

Here's another one that's not so negative.  Have you ever met anyone named "Homer"?  I bet they were born before the late 80's then.
The rise of an iconic character can either generate a surge of babies with that name or tank it, depending on the character.

I do feel sorry for all the little Karens out there born shortly before that name basically became a slur.  Hopefully they all have decent middle names they can use. :unsure
It's never so bad that it can't get worse.

Makes me think of that line, "Tougher than a boy named Sue."

I feel bad for girls when their parents give them names that haven't been popular since the 1950s. Gotta chuckle any time I'm on Tinder and see a hot twenty-something named Esther or Gladys.
