If you have to be with them which ones would you rather choose? and why?
Good people with bad intentions. OR Bad people with good intentions.
Also, if you had to be one of them which one would you be? and why?

How do you define a good or bad person if not by their intentions?

A good person with bad intentions is someone who inherently possesses positive qualities but may act with harmful motives or purposes. On the other hand, a bad person with good intentions refers to an individual who may have negative traits but acts with positive motives or goals. The complexity arises from the interplay between inherent character and the intentions behind one's actions.

In essence, the distinction between a good person with bad intentions and a bad person with good intentions underscores the intricate nature of human behavior, where actions and motives may not always align with one's inherent character traits.

I think I understand what you mean, but it's still a matter of perception. I think for most people a "good" person would have to be all the things considered "good" in other words both "good" behavior-wise and intent-wise. The same goes for "bad" people. What you describe is best exemplified, I think, by some of us pedophile folk pretty well (no offense intended); those with no intention of harming a child by initiating sexual contact and yet still could very well be harming them by doing so. Their actions are potentially selfish even if intent is not.

Which do I prefer? Bad intentions but good actions. I don't know someone's intentions and probably never will. I can only assess what they do and whether it benefits myself and/or others or not. I would want to be both well intended and well actioned myself, but if I had to choose then I'm would rather my actions not hurt someone even if I am doing it exclusively for myself. That is one reason why I am no-contact even though I know I have no ill intent if I ever were to change that.

I think I gotta go with my equals and so be with the good people with bad intentions, right?

Still, it depends. I would rather be close to people who DID some things I find bad but yet feel they're bad and that they shouldn't, than someone who thinks that they're good things.
The perception of bad goes for the fact many of what I think of doing is considered bad by most people but I think someone else with the same ideas would find it very reasonable, not "bad", maybe even good.

It all depends.

Not sure if this answers the question but few things are scarier than powerful people with good intentions and on a mission. Cause if the intention is good enough it tends to bring justifications for the most horrible atrocities. I mean look what "save the children" brought to people like us.
