A story about a pedophile hunter who was killed by the pedophile after being approached by this fool. It looks like a recent story. This is what happens for setting people up. It's called karma. I used to watch a channel of two aggressive pedophile hunters and one of them got shot in the leg but wasn't killed. They never talked about it on their channel or posted the video because they didn't embarrass themselves. Someone else mentioned it in the comments and it was in the news. This is the link to the video of the pedophile hunter who was killed.

I feel like it's important for us as pedophiles to remember that a tragedy is a tragedy, no matter what the contexts behind it is. So I am sorry that this man lost his life.

The worst irony over it is, that for all we know, the man who killed him may not even have been a pedophile. The danger of conducting these little "stings" is that you really don't know who you're dealing with at all. For all we know, the men who killed him were not pedophiles at all, but looking for someone to rob. I mean, after all, they did apparently come to the meeting together, and armed as well.

I would be lying if I said I didn't have the initial reaction of, "Good, maybe people will stop doing this now." However, thinking about it a little bit more, I don't think it has the potential to do anything but make things worse. These misguided people are going to keep doing this, and now they're just going to be more aware of how dangerous it is and choose to arm themselves, which is only going to make these encounters even more dangerous.

In my opinion we need some legislation to make this shit illegal before more people are hurt. It's clearly vigilantism, and so I don't think it's something that is that difficult to write a law in order to prohibit. I think the problem would, of course, be that opponents would accuse the law makers who suggest it as being sympathetic to pedophiles. However, incidents like this might at least contribute to a body of evidence showing that legislation against it to protect public safety is needed.

I should note I changed the topic without OPs permission to describe the content better, and that the passive aggressiveness is my own doing :P

I had the same initial reaction as both of you, but ultimately would say that this was bad for everyone involved. I think the 'hunter' needed help about as much as the people he was catching. I think he got high on his own supply here and stopped considering the impact of ruining people's lives to stroke a justice boner and profit off of it as entertainment.

Oops I'm going back into disdain. I think we (as a society not this community) need to look at the popularity of this content and reflect on if it's that healthy, and if it can be addressed in a better way with less harm.

I don't feel sorry for him. He got what he was asking for. His goal was to expose pedophiles and ruin people's lives. Why am I supposed to feel sorry for him? That's like a story about a 16 year old girl who went hunting with her father and was killed by lightening. It really happen. I am plant based. I don't feel sorry for her at all. Actually this means less animals will be killed because of her death. It's called karma.

I read this article couple of days ago, and it is pretty clear that these guys were not pedophiles. They were 17 and 18yo trying to hook up with a "15yo" (our vigilante hero), and it went sour when our hero swung at them. Well...Shit happens when you attack random guys like that, especially at night downtown Detroit.
Seemed like Mr Vigilante became cocky and addicted to social media likes, and he paid the price.
Rule number one when you are on the streets....Mind your own business.

17 and 18 looking for romantic or sexual connection with 15 does not make for pedophilia.  From a legal standpoint, many jurisdictions have close in age exemptions.

Most of the pedophile hunter vigilante groups are simply bullies looking to prey on easy targets.

This story reminds me when a popular pedophile hunter was streaming live on Youtube and confronted a pedophile. He was calling him names like pussy, but when the pedophile walked into a dark parking filled with many parked trucks, the pedophile hunter got scared and walked away and people were calling him pussy on the comments and he was trying to defend himself and made excuses.

Ahh...   The mark of a bully:  Be intimidating but back away when the tables turn and shit gets real.

I'm not sorry for him. That's what you get if you try to destroy someone's life over nothing for social media likes. Good riddance.

Harassing anyone can obviously be a very dangerous activity. I do wish people would mind their own business!
You are one sick bastard! I really dig that about you!

Amen.  The world would be a much better place too.  Had he done that, he'd be alive and these kids lives wouldn't be ruined.

I don't want to say that what happened was "good"

I will however say good riddance. What he was trying to do to us was arguably worse than what happened to him

This is so dumb. Also i will never understand peoples obession with throwing the pedo label on a teen trying to date another teen that they probably go to school with. I remember when i was 17 unironically being hit with a pedo accusation because i was flirting with a 15 year old. Two year age difference. We had classes together, she was turning 16 in like five months. She was flirting back, but rumors spread around and i actually got death threats over it. Still blows my mind.

There are some pedos i think need to be hunted but at times i feel like they are so rare people have to create the bad ones to feel like they are doing good in the world. Its so wreckless and stupid.
RIP Jeffrey Epstein, there was no lists, no blackmail, and no clients. You did it all for the love of the game.

Does anyone know who the Youtuber was and if the video can be found on the internet?

People do ridiculous things for fame and a few likes, I regret situations like this, these two men weren't going after serial killers or human traffickers, they didn't want to prevent abuse, they wanted applause, if they really cared about children they would be using the resources and the channel to help children living on the streets, but when society decides that pedos are monsters then it justifies this violence while feeding the need to have fame, likes, followers, then systems like the S.O. and websites that expose pedos that say they have the objective of protecting the neighborhood actually target houses, describe us as monsters but they are the ones organizing this show of violence while others applaud.
