laptop recommendations (cheap, but good)

i currently have what might be the worst laptop in existence. It makes scary loud noises, is at least ten years old and has a worse battery life than the average iPhone when apple releases a new model.

I'd like a laptop that can run games, I do have a good one but it's been broken these past few months and I havent gotten aroudn to getting it fixed.

What games are you playing or plan to play? Will make a super big deal to the laptop you need. Also do you plan to use it for your darkweb stuff? If not it also changes a little since you do not need as much paranoia.

Definitely the use case would play a major role in what you would need. anything darkweb would be best left to something like a tails USB so that mainly leaves what games you are trying to run. I tend to use mine for a bit of everything so performance is key. I lean towards HP for the most part and most recently the Envy 17". Its a couple years old and wasn't really cheap, but a decent balance between cost and performance without going custom.

I have a Samsung laptop and it is several years old but I have to say it is the best computer I have ever had!! I bought it brand new and at the time it had windows 7 on it. It has been upgraded to windows 8 then to windows 10 and it is still going strong!! I also have a Dell desktop which is a couple of years old and it is my primary computer. I did not buy it new though, I got it second hand. It had a lot of shit on it when I got it and I had to completely restore it and reinstall windows 10 and it has been a great computer ever since!!

I have never had any luck with HP computers. I have bought 3 or 4 of them for my wife when she was alive and also my daughter has had a couple of them and they all have been shit!! They work good when you first get them but they don't last very long.

Do you have the new laptop already?
If not: I sense that you want a laptop that is younger than 10 years?
What kind of games do you want to be able to run? Simple 2d games? Games more taxing on the hardware than a web browser? Crazy 3d stuff?
And what is your definition of cheap?
You can easily get second hand laptops with GIGABYTES of ram for 50 Dollars or your local equivalent of this amount of fiat money. Try ebay.
