Whatever works for you, I applaud it. You have my full support if you ever need someone to talk to in times of weakness. For me, I find that in periods where I'm trying to quit CP, any sort of porn can lead to relapse in the early stages. Right now I'm just trying the NoFap reset thing. I don't think porn is a bad thing, nor do I think it will inevitably lead to CP, but I know that for me if I try looking at adult porn too quickly, I just end up slipping backwards. I wish you the best in your efforts!

I started with stories also, and soon actually wrote a few.  It was a good outlet for a time, but then was not enough.

Any chance you'd share your writings here? Would love to read them!
Despite being shy, I'm always up for a chat! <3

I like stories. It's not considered pornography in my country. That's why I'm on this site and not Alice in Wonderland!

The world needs more well-written, consensual erotica!

Oh god yes. My turn ons are more about taboo or sexualized situations than actual sex, so I'm more than happy with non-penetrative stories about boys being stripped naked or whatever. And I've been happy when I see people also being fond of stories about boyhood and whatnot that don't have sex in them because it makes we want to add to the pool of well written stories (I think they're well written, anyways).

The thing with stories is that you have control over the fantasy. If you want the character to be sent to school naked because all their laundry is dirty, or to wear diapers because they wet the bed or have a wetting fetish, you can shape that to be whatever you want it to be. With porn, you have to take what's given to you, so to speak. Maybe this is why someone might always be looking for more; they're looking for that perfect picture but can't find it.

That being said, I know that writing stories involving kids like that is just as illegal in some countries as making and distributing actual porn (same as possessing them). The stories could also be written based on real kids in one's life, which is a little abusive still. And stories may not quite do it for some, so it's not a perfect solution. But on the scale of horrible garbage surrounding paedophilia, reading and writing stories is probably one of the least harmful things one could be doing. I'm trying stories and making images to try and scratch my itches, so I'll have to get back to you on how it's working, but I don't feel as gross as when I look at actual porn.

I always liked well written stories. The trouble is, as others mentioned it in this thread, is that its so difficult to find well written erotic material, where there is a well developed plot for the actual sexual action. Since asstr went down it became even more difficult to find them. Afaik there is a mirror site available still with most of the content.

I'm into shorter "stroke" stories too, but there is the same problem of finding quality consensual literature.

For me, slow build-up = bigger payoff at orgasm-time, and that applies to online RP, erotic short stories and porn. Nifty used to be a resource for me but it's a lot of work finding the gems among the dirt. Stories that jump in too quick, are badly formatted, or just plain lack plausibility in terms of plot/story or, particularly, dialogue. There is a site I visit occasionally that has a series of (adult) lesbian videos that are very slow-burners. The sound and video quality aren't great, but the emphasis is on women finding themselves becoming intimate with other women when they hadn't planned to or wanted to and I find that really erotic. Even the lovemaking, when it finally starts, starts slowly and builds up slowly.

So yes, stories make great mind-movies - you just need a good director. :-)

I recommend The Pam & Jeremy Story. A great tale of an adult babysitter finding herself in a sexual relationship with the 11 year old boy he is babysitting. It is very erotic but also describes well the complexity of the relationship.

I just LOVE stories... actually more than any visual stimulation. It is just amazing if i can get sucked up in their world and let my imagination run wild. My most favorite author has been Renpet. I probably read any of his stories over 100 times (especially the consentual ones). He/She is such a master of words... slowly building up the atmosphere until hitting the perfect climax. I know they are not for everyone, as they start slow. But they are just so realistic, loving, beautiful and sexy... still my no1 favorite tease of the mind.

i also thoroughly enjoy erotica, child erotica, though even that is becoming increasingly difficult to find with asstr going dark. It took awhile but i found authors who i really enjoyed that had a writing style that i could graviitate too and enjoy. Amazing the pictures you can conjure up in your minds eye when reading well written erotica. we need more of it

yes i rly like literotica bc i think it's the most ethical. like technically, even the most hurtcore, rapey snuff literotica of a newborn baby is more ethical than touching a child irl in any fashion.

i'm also not into kids (i'm into pedos) so maybe that's why... i don't really like seeing naked kids that much (it's triggering) but in the literotica i like, it's always through the pedo's eyes. so it's like i'm understanding the pedo mind (since the writer is actually a pedo, and thinks like one, even if he doesn't actually do this stuff irl.)

there are really terrible ones, but i think there are some really good ones too, like gems. i honestly think my writing skills (not as in story-telling, but like constructing thoughts and sentences) got better from reading the really, really good ones lol

Yes, that's a wonderful site.  So was "Loliwood Studios," but they haven't posted a new story in ten years..  Someone asked about sex stories posted exclusively on the darkweb, and the only one I know of is "PZA Boy Stories," obviously a boylover site. I'm not sure about posting links here, but you can find it at PedoLinks.

Years ago, I wrote  few stories at ASSTR that were well-received. And, referring back to the OP, I found that writing these stories (not merely reading them) got me off faster than anything, even CP videos. Of course, reading other people's stories did the job, too! But I join the other posters here in bemoaning the low quality of writing at ASSTR. The problem was that ASSTR would publish anything that was sent in.  Literotica has a higher standard, but Literotica won't touch CP. The closest they come is adult incest, and that's not very close.

Words are enormously powerful, as we all know. That's why I still engage in online RP. That has the added benefit of interactivity. Unfortunately, so many guys (and it's 99.9% men who do it) are so fucking inarticulate that they beg you to "phone" or Skype or that kind of thing. But I just prefer words. If somebody just wants to moan into the phone while I groan into the phone, to Hell with 'em.

I don't know if written stuff can actually replace the craving for pictorial CP. But if anything can, I think it just might.

Personally, I've always preferred stories to artwork - a clear character and emotional hook is just a very important part of attraction/arousal to me. And yeah, Sturgeon's law (90% of everything is terrible) holds in written works, but the format is better-suited to longer/slower plots. Plus, you can often filter by length in some means or another, which helps.

As far as specific sites go, Archive of our Own allows underage stories and there are even some decent entirely original works there. Fiction.live and Questionable Questing are other places I frequent, although although the format isn't always traditional written fiction and is often fanfiction to some degree there. Also, lots of stories on permanent hiatus unfortunately.

Lesbian Lolita was a great site. I actually submitted a story there once.

Just read through this thread and I can relate to having to wade through many-a-poorly-written erotica to arrive at something worth reading.

For those interested in plot and some high quality writing, the site Archive of Our Own has my all time favorite erotic story. It's called "Family Changing Room" by WithoutIntent. It's a very slow, and wonderfully satisfying buildup of a father and his wife discovering their mutual attraction to their children. It's brilliantly written and some parts are actually quite touching. But it is definitely worth a read (luckily the author uses chapters so you don't have to go all at once). There are some very memorable scenes with beautiful detail and some - of my favorite type - swimsuit and soccer uniform scenes.

The same author's work called "Pediatrics At Your Service" is also quite good and has some boy characters as well if you are so inclined.
