Just read through this thread and I can relate to having to wade through many-a-poorly-written erotica to arrive at something worth reading.

For those interested in plot and some high quality writing, the site Archive of Our Own has my all time favorite erotic story. It's called "Family Changing Room" by WithoutIntent. It's a very slow, and wonderfully satisfying buildup of a father and his wife discovering their mutual attraction to their children. It's brilliantly written and some parts are actually quite touching. But it is definitely worth a read (luckily the author uses chapters so you don't have to go all at once). There are some very memorable scenes with beautiful detail and some - of my favorite type - swimsuit and soccer uniform scenes.

The same author's work called "Pediatrics At Your Service" is also quite good and has some boy characters as well if you are so inclined.

Archive of Our Own has so many good stories!!!

I have found stories both visual like  loli hentai and written stories to have awful writing. Either the characters are not written like normal human beings, kids don't really act like real kids. Women and little girl characters don't act like normal women or girls would in real life.
So I took the matters into my own hands. I'm learning to draw and love writing my own stories. At least I can control the story like I want. I love creating worlds and character and writing stories that are overly complicated plot wise but also include very graphic sex scenes.
I've found it way healthier and sometimes even more sexually arousing then looking at child abuse material and at then end I don't feel guilty.

And if you feel that way about most of the existing stuff out there, you can bet there are others who also crave a bigger touch of realism in their stories, too.  There's an audience for it, Larry. ;)
It's never so bad that it can't get worse.

Archive of Our Own is quite a good source that I would recommend. They have all kinds of stories, sexual or not. You can also choose whether you want dubious consent, grape or consent using the tags. It might be a bit tricky to navigate child stories on there from what I could recall, but some stories I've read really worth the dig.

Interestingly enough this is something that I recently started doing. Reading erotica, there is some great stuff around, but what I found even better...writing my own. Not for publication, just for my own pleasure. I can explore my fantasies, and my feelings and verbalize and visualize myself in those scenes or situations. Its quite liberating and intense.

I have always wanted to write but never wanted to risk putting it out there so I never did. I don't know why the idea of just writing for myself never occurred to me. I do like that as an idea.

So when you write erotica, do you put yourself as the protagonist? Or maybe a slightly 'improved' version of yourself?
Or do you write from the perspective of someone who is definitely not you?
Personal preference, but I do find it more interesting when I'm reading erotica that's of the perspective of one of the participants.

The few I have written all follow a specific set of characters. The male is a fictionalized version of myself and when I write or read, Its my face I see (if there is one). Its much easier to write if it's personal to me. He may well do things that I would never do, but that's part of the fantasy world I create.

When it comes to reading other peoples erotica, I do prefer to read stories that are told from a males perspective.

I have written too many un-posted stories with me in them, myself. It is a form of release. For reasons I am afraid to explore :), I do like female POV stories. Really my fetish and driving force in my life is hearing stories from females about their underage experiences, and wanting to put them in writing.

But I can go both ways. Male POV stories are more honest when it comes to my own experiences. For female POV, no matter how much detail and emotion has been shared, some is open to interpretation.

oh you should so give it a go, I can write for hours sometimes, its incredibly vivid and erotic. I have no interest in ever publishing them. I just start with a simple idea, or scene and expand on it and see where it goes, there is usually no plot to start with.

Might be something simple like "Brian walked past Selmas bedroom, in the half light of the nightlight he could just make out the curves of her body under the thin covers...."

and then im away. I suppose its no different from role play.

I will see what I come up with. Write down the stories already in my head.

Even in my most fictional stories, their are nuggets of reality. One recently posted dystopian story I wrote initially involved a grandmother teaching a girl how to give a handjob to the grandfather, as the grandmother was tired of taking care of him that way.

That came directly from something that I heard happened in real life. Many of my fictional stories are full of encounters and situations I have heard about over the decades. And why not? True events, especially around child sexuality are often more compelling and interesting than what I can dream up myself. And regardless of a readers thoughts, I know my stories have basis's in reality, which is important to me.

Despite seeing all forms of unimaginable sexual interactions via CP, I still read stories where I go "No way", or "It doesn't happen like that." I have always tried to be a realist in my portrayal of sexual interactions between adults and children. And the stories that I enjoy the most reading are like that as well.

I can definitely get worked up over my own writings :)

The biggest "yeah right" for me in erotica is when the girl orgasms her first time penetrated.  I'm sure it happens some times IRL, but reading stories makes it seem like 3 out of every 5 girls have a mindblowing orgasm the first time someone gets inside them.  Even if they're 7. :P

In fiction, consent is a given, and pleasure guaranteed.

Reality = girls that age (and younger) can have orgasms.
Fiction = they are going to be mind blowing, they will happen from penetration

It's an interesting thought experiment to think about what it would take for someone to bring a girl like that to a real orgasm.
