I'm just curious how many you guys play video games or games in general regularly, and if so what games do you play? Now be safe and don't give out any of your screen names for steam or anything like that. Just say what you like to play and why.

Me a play just about anything outside of sports games like Madde,n but I typically prefer strategy titles and I'm trying to get into Warhammer 40K tabletop, and am looking forward to Blood Bowl's tabletop return. Current gaming goal: beating Mike Tyson in Punch-Out

Yes i am a gamer!!!!! I like playing the fallout series, Skyrim, and even dark souls 1&2 ( i usually don't make it far with dark souls though cause it makes me wanna freak the hell out after dying like 32 times to the same boss)
And who is your favorite team to play on madden?
But I threw you the obvious just to see

Also a gamer. I love jrpg, with the Final Fantasy series hundreds of hours of joy. Sadly nowadays only one or two really good games come out for this genre. I play almost every genre but racing except funracer and sports games except something like Rocket League i am not into it. When i play with my friends Madden or others i go for the highest scores in defense and hope the KI knows what it does. These days i play Evolve learn how to play monster, not only Wraith, and Mass Effect Trilogy bad guy style i forget enough from the story to have fun again.
I write in English but when it is nonsense, it is a fantasy language that resembles English and make sense.

My favorite Madden team is Liverpool. Joking aside I haven't played a Madden since the days of the Genesis/megadrive. And I am a fan of the Fallout Series too. I've played all of them except for FO 4,  but after watching some Let's Plays I'm not sure how I feel about the gutted role-playing mechanics in fact it's actually reminding me of what happened Mass effect.

Lets look at the first two Mass Effect games; the first one was an RPG built around a shooting mechanic, where in Mass Effect 2 they almost completely removed the role playing mechanics and it was mostly a third-person shooter with light role-playing systems, like experience points. The third felt more like an RPG to me but not nearly as much as the first and it still felt more like a shooter with RPG mechanics tacked-on rather than and a true RPG. I personally feel this is a side effect of the industry as a whole trying to polish the rough edges and make things more accessible but at the same time I believe it's killed the RPG has its own genre

Nope :sadno

I have been playing computer games when I was younger until my early twenties and just lost interest in it. From time to time I give minecraft a try, just building weird stuff when I'm bored, but that's it.
Okay, okay, a round of Minesweeper here and there :D

Toodles;
hoefler :P
And I was alone yet not lonely because in my heart there was the energy of that one girl who means more to me than any human being ever did before.

I'm a gamer, I have weird tastes though (two of my most played games are World of Warcraft and Football Manager). Also, Monkey Island is awesome, especially Curse Of Monkey Island.

I am not just a gamer. I am a mutant who feeds on playing games, I don't survive without them. I play everything I can, from the simple side-scroller adventure to the complex RPG that takes over your life and never ends. Talking about my favorite games is impossible. I would never stop. Well, let's try.

My favorite series are probably Metal Gear Solid and Legacy of Kain.

All Metal Gears are great, but 3, 4 and 5 are the best ones. 3 is the absolute best. Games of a similar genre, like Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six, are among my favorites too (except Rainbow Six: Siege, that thing sucks).

As for Legacy of Kain, the first Soul Reaver is probably the most memorable, I still listen to the soundtrack to this day. I really like the 3D metroidvania style where you start kind of weak and have to gain certain powers and abilities before you can explore certain areas. Similar games are Darksiders, the 3D Zelda games and, maybe, Okami. I think open-world RPG's like Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Dragon Age fit this category too, and are among my favorites too.

I am also a mass murderer. I love the old school Doom games (the new one is fantastic too) and a lot of similar old school shooters. I also like the Max Payne trilogy, Hotline Miami, the new Wolfenstein, Killzone, Gears of War... Guns, guts, violence, anger... Doom and Hotline Miami are games that I keep replaying and playing random levels just for the fun of it. Hotline Miami 2 is like LSD in the form of a violent game.

I also like a lot all of the side-scrollers from the 8-16 bit era. Castlevania is probably my favorite old series if you don't count Doom.

The last games I've finished are Ratchet And Clank 2016, Uncharted 4 and Doom 2016. Lately I've been playing, sporadically, Odin Sphere and the Persona series. I should play them more dedicatedly, but I keep wasting time with side-quests from games I've already finished the story, like Metal Gear Solid 5, Fallout 4 and Arkham Knight.

And The Witcher 3 too. The Witcher 3 is fucking awesome. I got both expansions for it. Worth every penny. The absolute best game of last year.

Honorable mentions to Last Of Us, Alan Wake, Mass Effect, the God of War series, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, all the Shin Megami Tensei games, the Syphon Filter series, Contra, Metal Slug, the Uncharted series, GTA, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, Silent Hill, Resident Evil... STOP!

Here waiting for Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy XV, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, For Honor, Battlefield 1, anything Hideo Kojima's up to now (now that we won't get the new Silent Hill he promised) and a lot more. No Man's Sky is already out. I was waiting for it, but I am disappointed and will not be playing it.

I hate sports. And Assassins Creed. I really, really hate Assassins Creed.

I see it from another perspective. Mass Effect caters both the shooter fans and the RPG fans. It may seem more of a shooter than RPG, but, if you crank up the difficulty a little and take your time to explore, the game becomes very rich and the RPG elements start to expand themselves. After some time in a higher difficulty level, exploring resourceful planets and making research to upgrade your armor, weapons and ship becomes necessary. In the second game, if you don't work to improve the relationship with your crew mates and upgrade your ship, half of the crew won't even survive the last mission.

It really becomes a different game that rewards more curious players when the players take their time to explore the galaxy and engage on side-quests.

Then, there's the save game import option, where the decisions made and the characters that died in the previous game are imported to the next one. I played the trilogy several times and I can say that the decisions made in the first and second games really make wide changes to the story of the last one. It won't make the terrible fucking ending better, though. No amount of DLC can fix this wound.

I really had a great time with the trilogy. I only wish I could go back and start a different story with a character from a different species. Dragon Age, from the same creators, offers different species for the character creation. They all have unique styles of gameplay and the narrative changes considerably. Mass Effect presents all these rich sci-fi species with widely different cultures and powers, and limits the player as a Human-only character. It's such a tease. I wish I could play as a different alien character, not just bang them all.

"We gon' bang, okay?"

It took me years before I finally decided to try out Kingdom Hearts. The idea always seemed silly and stupid for me and I always rejected it in exchange for more mature themes. But I'm glad I did try it. I discovered a pretty sensible story with a vast array of likeable characters and a great RPG in its own right.

Plus, all the main characters being loveable kids help, I think. I was so uncomfortable when Sora became a triton in the Little Mermaid level. :D

I didn't care, really. I don't care much about this type of online game. Nosgoth was the response to Dead Sun's cancellation, and Dead Sun looked far more interesting.

It's sad that Kairi was not in the Little Mermaid level. Kingdom Hearts catch my heart the first time i heard the concept and the details hidden to explore, so glad that the main story continues forward with KH3. The trailer was full of teases like the chess pieces. While playing Mass Effect 2, renegade style badass motherfucker Samuel L. Jackson lookalike Hades Shepard, the codex caught my eye. Half of it has voice over, thanks to the sci-fi theme, the technical parts reminds me on star trek engineer talk. The codex for Dragon Age feels bigger but has no voice over. Funny the hardest decision is the love interest, with good Shepard it was easy Tali form the first game on i wanted her, this time i want go for Miranda but when the option came to get Tali i needed 20 minutes(feels like) to hit the nope button. One critic point is that if you dont hold your stick up-right(good) or down-right(bad) in dialogues, choose a play style, you are handicapped later in the game when you options are greyed out because you have not enough decisions made for it. Dragon Age is better for this but in one it feels like there is one right way to solve a problem and the other ways are wrong. Dragon Age 2 was better in this way but on normal as warrior or rouge was more like a hack'n'slay. Also it had one of the coolest sidekicks, Varick the shaved drawf.
