Forgive me for editing your post. I only want to address the absurd, ridiculous, totally arbitrary way the word "pedophile" is tossed around in Western society. I am personally acquainted with a couple that have been having sexual relations for three years: they started when she was 26, and he was 67. Don't ask me to explain this strange arrangement, but it's real, it's happening, and they have not hidden it. Some of the young lady's peers have gasped and warned her that the man (who she calls her boyfriend) is a "pedophile," because of the difference in their ages. (The girl is not stupid or clueless; at this moment, she's a graduate student in a medical field.) These silly girls have been conditioned by society to see a pedophile under every bed or behind every bush, so that this young lady is shamed and shunned for her relationship with an older man. Society is simply obsessed with this subject.

After years of watching these idiots setting up pedophiles and physically assaulting them, Jay Carnicom, one of the predators catchers from Dads Against Predators, was arrested and charged and now is facing 40 years in prison. Years ago, this same idiot was shot in the leg by a pedophile. I have been waiting for years for this idiot to be arrested. Now, he will get to put his fighting skills to the test every day in prison, lol. He will easily be a target in prison and many inmates would love to test him just because of who he is. Now, I am just waiting for the other idiot to be arrested and charged. In the mugshot, he looks like he wants to cry. I don't know how the hell this idiot lasted this long assaulting people in different states and only until now he gets arrested and charged. I hope he gets many beatings in prison to teach him a lesson.

I think AI-generated CP is an excellent thing, and I hope that it proliferates (if that's the right word) so widely that LEA will be simply overwhelmed. It'll never be legal, of course, but it might get to the "seldom enforced" level. (Just as there are localities where "Sodomy" and "adultery" are still technically illegal, but are not prosecuted, except as a pretext for prosecuting something more serious. The classic example would be the cops raiding a house where unmarried people are shacked up, in order to "find" a meth lab that they couldn't access otherwise.) I think AI-generated CP should be easily accessible and non-criminalized.
AI is already doing some interesting things with pornography. There are "chat sites" where one can create the man or woman of their dreams and "interact" with them in a way that seems very realistic. And the "models" aren't all buxom and flawless; there are fat men, skinny women, and everything in between to choose from. The only exception? They must be over 18: there are no "chat sites" where you can create a "partner" who is underage. Even using certain words, like "middle school" or "toddler," causes the chat program to reset. This is all very limited, and very vanilla, to those of us looking for CP. I only mention it as an example of how AI is already being used. Chat GPT and many imitators are virtual whorehouses now.
Those of us who use CP, or have used it, all have our favorite models, most of whom are probably grandmothers by now. But an AI-produced version of Masha or Gvenet, for example, with tiny differences and different names, would be wildly popular. And the sex would be more detailed and imaginative than anything we've seen: the "holy grail" of vaginal intercourse with a preteen, without damage, would become easily attainable. If people were willing and eager to subscribe to the old NN "child modeling" sites, why wouldn't they/we go for this kind of thing?
I realize that some people can only be satisfied by "the real thing." Okay, but the real thing isn't always pleasant for the child, and at some point, consumers of child porn need to acknowledge that — unless they're the kind of creeps who enjoy hurtcore, and don't care about the kids. Would there be AI hurtcore? Probably; some Japanese hentai is gory enough to make a vulture vomit. But, hopefully, most CP fanciers aren't into it.

Me too. I misinterpreted the question; I thought it meant "are there actual, living kids in your world who you'd like to play with?" At the moment, there aren't. But there certainly have been, and there could be again. So it's mostly fantasy right now. As for crossing the line, I've done it in the past, but not often, but at this point, I just don't have the energy!

If it would get rid of AOC laws, and make (consensual) sex with children completely legal, I'd be willing to have average life expectancy for my demographic (white males) lowered by a few years. I'm not talking about starting a system of euthanasia for anyone over a certain age; in fact, what I'm thinking of is kinda impossible, since life expectancy isn't arbitrarily imposed by government or any other agency. But if life expectancy for my group is, say, 85, I'd be willing to die at 80 if it meant that kidsex was now a legal activity. Not a very practical answer! But that's what I'd give up: a few years off the end of my life.

I was very active on several large clearnet forums in the 90s and 2000s, and you just don't see them any more — not the ones where people are actually discussing ideas and issues, I mean. The exceptions are hobbyist or 'special interest' forums (not our special interest). I have a friend who's a farmer, and she tells me that some very specialized forums are healthy and very busy. Forums dealing with stuff like the care of tropical fish, for example.
I think that people are less interested in written communication, even Internet communication, every year. TikTok has the young people, and FB still has a lot of the older ones; but I'm guessing, because I don't frequent either platform.
I only know that the many people who were active on PSC four or five years ago haven't suddenly become illiterate, and I doubt that they've lost interest in the topic. I hope we can get the thing going again, because it's so valuable.
Yesterday I even wrote a long, wheezy post in the 'Civics' section, just to add some coals to the fire. It wasn't very interesting, but I was trying, and will continue to try!
