I remember watching that show.  Alba was objectively hot.
Like her day job was a bicycle messenger.

I only recall one episode plot because it involve her getting thrown in a jail run by this corrupt dude who was using his power to molest girls and women.  So of course Dark Angel kicked his ass into next week. I just remember Alba's character talking with this ~12 year old girl about what was going on and the girl's like, "It's not so bad...." but it clearly was.

Yeah, I remember that episode. Max (her name) needed pills every day to prevent shakes and seizures, but her friends thought she was a drug addict and flushed her pills down the toilet! In desperation, she tries to steal some from the local hospital but gets captured. She's left in a weak state because of her condition and that warden creep is able to abuse her. Fortunately, one of her friends, repentant of their foolishness, sneaks into the facility pretending to be a nurse or something and gives Max her drugs in a glass of milk. Then when creepo comes back into her room trying to catch a feel, she holds him up by the neck and tosses him around like a ragdoll. :lol

Sorry. :red There's a lot more to the episode too. I'll leave it unspoiled from here on out.

Dark is SO good. It's a German show and quite well done. Not to mention a cute boy (bonus for me). As for other shows, I think it's going to depend on the types of shows you enjoy.

I love Family Guys so much lol

on the rocks

Family Guy is a deep catalogue by now.  It'll be season 23 this fall.  And they're like real seasons; 20 or more episodes each.  Only a few select legacy shows get to make that many a year.  Ah, the good old days when it was all about syndication dollars.

As a teenager when it first came out, Family Guy was squarely in my wheelhouse.  Those first 60 episodes are particularly good, in my opinion.  You had to be a fan of the show to watch it then.  Fox buried it on Thursday nights in the same time slot as Friends.  And that mattered a lot in the days of appointment television.  Yeah you could tape it if you were a tech whiz, but just ask any comedian from the 90's about programing a VCR. :P

Not to be a hipster about it, but it felt good to be into Family Guy before they started rerunning them on Adult Swim in the 2000's.

I loved season 1 of The Exorcist. Admittedly, I'm a huge horror fan, but it's got a really cool take on it all!

Hmm... let me see. So far, these are my favorites:
- Young Sheldon (comedy, no laugh track): Spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, about a young genius living in Texas and his family.
- The 100 (scifi): Human left Earth because it was uninhabitable. But now they think it is, so they send 100 delinquent teenagers down to Earth to check if it's livable. They didn't know that some humans stayed on Earth all along... well... not really human like them.
- Z Nation (horror): it's like a parody of The Walking Dead, but has steampunk vibe and is even better than TWD in some aspects.
- Once Upon a Time (fantasy): It's about a town where fairy tale characters live modern life because a curse made them forgot who they are, and the protagonist must remind them.
- Grimm (Drama): A detective is a descendant of monster hunters who can see mythical creatures' true form hidden under their human facade. He uses his ability to solve supernatural cases.
- 2 Broke Girls (comedy, yes laugh track): About a rich guy's daughter gone bankrupt and work at a diner as waitress with her new roomate, who is a born-in-poverty Brooklyn girl. The comedy is basically just them making sex, race and height jokes.
- Resident Alien (Comedy-Drama): An alien got stuck in Earth and have to disguise himself as a human. It's funny because he doesn't even know how to behave like a human.
- Ghosts US (Comedy, no laugh track): A girl inherited a house with her husband, bump her head, and magically can see ghosts. So she just spends her days living with her ghosts friends who came from different era of America. It is based on the UK show of the same name, but I personally find the US version better.
- Dexter (Drama): A blood-pattern expert is also a stabby stabby enthusiast, so he channels his psychopathy into murdering criminals behind his cop colleagues' backs.
- The Orville (Comedy-Scifi): Basically a parody of Star Trek, but it is produced by Seth McFarland so you know the story is good.

Dexter's nice. I wish they made him do the murders out of spite rather than to satisfy his psychopathy tho. That would be a heckin fire show to watch.

Red Locust

I enjoyed The Last Man on Earth, it's a comedy with a severe lack of young girls but funny nonetheless

on the rocks

I recall mostly enjoying that even though Will Forte gets on my nerves.  Don't like his voice.
I felt like they got a lot right in terms of how infrastructure would fail if a virus really did kill off almost everyone.  The did their homework for an ostensible comedy.
Spoiler alert: the series ends with a cliffhanger as if there's going to be another season, but there is not.  So go into it knowing you'll be left hanging.

Red Locust

I almost forgot, speaking of cliffhangers, Third Rock From the Sun was one of my favorites as well.

I didn't watch My Name Is Earl until it was already over, but that show didn't have a proper ending either and I about threw my changer at the TV when I watched the last episode and realized that was it.

LarrySexton

I loved season 1 of Severance. Such a well made show if you're into psychological type shows.
