I can't comment on the Ozark one as much since I haven't seen it nor have any context. I think it's really bold of these shows to present these 'uncomfortable' situations straight without judgement - if that is what their intention was - to let the viewer make their own thoughts on it.

I was looking back at my examples other than Starlight and realize that in Friday Night Lights and Ozark it was always a 15yo. A few girls and a boy and I rather wonder if that is a coincidence. Like they dug around and did math and was all ok look they are as young as possible without people like screeching oh my godddd baby sex and then made sure they were good looking and super into the choice. Like they were doing a ton of thinking before they picked the age and scenario and presentation to make it so they could deny any accusation?
Her hair reminds me of a warm, safe place where, as a child, I'd hide...and pray for the thunder...and the rain...to quietly pass me by...

There might be something to that 15 year old age.  Right before society grants young people the privilege of driving.  But potentially mature enough physically to cast a 20 year old.
Seems to be common in a lot of coming-of-age films where they're mostly doing stuff with peers.  Lot of 15 year olds.
It's never so bad that it can't get worse.
