The only thing I didn't like about LC was the huge amount of dupes that you got there, which was simply inevitable for an image site. Occasionally though something interesting would pop up that would peak my interest.

OPVA had far more annoying duplicate files than LC had (eg - Re-encodes, renames, etc), and a system of zero duplicate removal, whereas LC had a reasonably robust dupe removal system, which was partially automatic, partially user-driven. Don't forget, LC could have the same images in different groups, based on how they were tagged. This was mainly due to its allowing content set tags (eg - set-girls-random, set-boys-teens) as well as official set tags (eg - set-ls-xxx, etc), which made it appear as if there were more dupes than there were.

That's true, but I guess I could live with it on OPVA as the site was a bit more responsive for me and I could quickly click past something that was a duplicate or I had seen before.

LC was painfully slow for me, so I might browse a particular tag and 5 minutes later once the page had loaded realize it was a page of the same thing repeated.

True, as OPVA was faster than LC, but when you have videos in the hundreds in your collection, it's not always easy to remember if you have it or not, plus there was no system of tagging like LC had, which meant renamed videos were lost in the general confusion. Awesome site though, regardless of its failings.

I was always happy with OPVA and LC because both offered MD5 checksums as well as exact filesizes in bytes. I have the MD5 checksums for all files in my collection.

Ah, okay. Thanks, AWAWAW. That was a great site. Several cool places went down last year.

It was a nice site. OPVA was the biggest loss in my opinion; no sign up needed and a vast collection to choose from, even if downloads could be slow at times.
I scanned through that place once. I was too paranoid to download any clips though, despite knowing how to encrypt. I always liked images. Lolita City was a goldmine, it had a vast and awesome collection of boy images despite the fact that it focused heavily on girls. Heck, I thought the girl content was beautiful and nice to see too. That site had so much awesome material, both old and new. The first time I visited there I was shocked at how severely the media lied (and still lies) about the nature of CP.

Tell me about it!  Both sites opened up my eyes.  What I found ironic was that days later,  I would see an image from LC pop up on a regular porn site once in a while.  Like the older JB ones and I could recognize it and yet no one gave a damn.  It shows the hypocrisy of it all
Yup! So true.

And really, talking with fellow users on Skype? As much as I like you guys, I will never mix my darknet and clearnet interactions, never. And its not even about how trustworthy I think people might be, but really how it only takes one person to get pressured and in that situation I would be expecting you to save yourself any way you could given the sentances involved.

How about those that don't know anything about the crimes you have committed, yet alone where the proof is? :D Let's Skype, buddy! Don't tell me about any CP you have viewed. Besides, I'm not doing anything that would get me busted like CP. :)
If you can cross dress, you're probably attractive to me. I'm not a paedophile in that I'm not attracted to prepubescent bodies, but I don't really mind them and I've indulged in seeing who is attractive and gorgeous so much as a child and a teenager that I'm stuck this way, seeing the beauty in young boy's faces. I hope that makes sense.

It's still an opening into relating the Tor you and the clearnet you, and must never happen at all costs. Most members here have admitted to committing at least one crime which could be prosecuted in their country of residence, even if this is a rather innocuous one. Never underestimate the ability of a LEO to twist everything to what they want it to mean, no matter how innocent the intent. There are places where just the act of coming here would constitute a crime. :(

A cursory glance through the threads here (and the ones still left in the Links board) will attest to how easy it is to fall afoul of LE.

Security by isolation is something I really stick to, Tor and clearnet never mix not even so much as googling the same thing or topic on clearnet as I would on Tor or vice versa e.g. my sports team's results.

That being said, I am sure you are lovely ministraw and I would be happy to converse with you on Skype should they suddenly declare pedophilia legal!

Mmm how depressing and sad. "Must never meet." Tragic words. If I ever do, I won't tell anyone on PSC that any sort of connection was made. I won't discuss it on PSC either, so snooping my PMs will hold no evidence that I have any PSC/offline hybrid friends either.

A friend of mine told me that there seems to be another group of people that might be related to that site operating another one. he is curious about it because the "producers" in question should be in jail, yet thete seems to be related activity.

Chairman

There were tons of producers on Cam-A-Lot, outside just those with admin roles.  I know of at least two people who escaped the bust, as they had no off-Tor communication with the others.  It is to be expected that there are even more, and that at least one of them would bring the site back.

Red

He has two theories about it:

One, that the new site is some sort of trap.

Two, that someone is very stupid and is still trying to make the cam a lot thing.

I guess someone must be in a very safe place, or be very stupid, to try another site like that now. Because LEA will certainly go after it.
