I don't really have anything to say about this.  Just thought it might be of interest.

MrSpeed

I saw this on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight.  It's amazing how they keep dishing out the same excuses over and over.  "I wasn't really going to do anything when I got there!"  Jeez!

It just shocks me how common and accepted entrapment is in the USA - it seems unhealthy and wrong to have LEAs trying their best to lure you into breaking the law.

To give you a nice quote about the hubris of LEA in the US:
Quote
Judd, the Polk County sheriff, said he has no sympathy for the men arrested like Kingsolver, who was arrested in a neighboring county's sting operation.

"I get tickled when they say, 'You set me up, you set me up.' I go, 'Yeah, so what?' That's exactly what it is. We did an undercover operation. We threw the bait out in the water, and you're the fish and you bit the bait. What we didn't do is take this big net, and grab you up and then grab you and then stick the bait in your mouth."

I think that says enough.
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary... for those who do not, none is possible.

I'm wondering when will Disneyland only employ females "to protect children", even for playing male Disney characters (who would be played by female body-builders).

Quote"Wherever you find children, you'll find sexual predators that want to be there," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.

You'll mainly find people who really enjoy the company and presence of a child. Who really enjoy seeing children happy.

QuoteErnie Allen, president of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, said the number of those arrested in the child sex stings and for child porn "should signal to all of us that this is a real threat. It's a threat to Disney, it's a threat to a lot of companies and a lot of settings because these offenders will attempt to defeat the barriers that you put in place that deny them access to children."

AKA Give us more money! Be scared! Only we can protect you!

Quote"We owe it to ourselves, we owe it to our children, we owe it to our future to make sure we don't let the next predator find a victim," Ross said.

Yup, your plan "for the children" is to maintain this society as a cesspool of paranoia, fear, distrust, anger, hatred, distance, etc. What we do as a society is 100X more damaging than what they claim to protect children from.

Quote"My life is ruined," he told CNN in an interview at his home. "My family's life is ruined. My kids' life is ruined. I've devastated my parents because of bad judgment."

Quote"They love me," Kingsolver said. "My kids know me, and they know how much I care for kids. They know that their dad is not somebody that will go out and hurt a young child. They know their dad is somebody that would go out and protect a young child at any cost."

Quote"I love kids and not in a bad way. I just have a strong connection with kids. I like working with kids. I just enjoy helping them grow and that's why I've been working with high schools for so long is because a lot of these kids look up to me."

Quote"I work for Disney so I love to see dads having fun with their daughters. I believe in treating a lady like a princess. I treat ladies with respect because that is how I hope my daughter gets treated." "I'm not the monster that people are saying I am, and that the news, CNN and everyone else is saying that I am. I'm an honest guy that I thought was trying to help and I thought I was trying to do the right thing. Did I do it in the right manner? No, obviously not," "It was like going to a fun -- some place you really enjoyed," he said. "The best part about that job was just seeing families. Some family you knew had saved up literally for a decade to come there and spend a few days. Just to see them having fun and to see the, you know, look on the children's faces when they get to see, you know, Prince Charming or one of the princesses or you know, riding Barnstormer or anything, or any of the rides or just walking around and maybe running into Mickey. It was just, that was the best part, just seeing kids glow and seeing their heroes. I just enjoyed that so much."

Sure, these guys could be lying, but I am sorry I have a feeling all of them are genuine (that they love kids, not that they weren't going for sex). They exist in an awful hateful world. That makes them desperate. I have no doubt these men love children and now are destroyed because of a normal attraction.

One day people will look back on these kinds of articles with disgust. Not disgust at the child loving paedophiles who are lost, but to the society for what they do to these men and kids. I hope I live to see that day.

Whats weird is that when you read the title of the article you begin to think that somehow those who were arrested were using the children at the theme park in sexual activities.  Read the article and you find nothing of the sort, just the fact that a bunch of people arrested in a sting operation also happen to be working at theme parks.  It stinks of sensationalism.

That's how it always goes whenever the media reports on the latest dragnet or entrapment scheme.  Find the ones that will be the most "shocking" and put them out front and center and demand that everyone be appalled.  "This guy is a ... Can you believe it???"
"Be angry with us or else we'll get angry at you!"
It's never so bad that it can't get worse.

This is true, however law enforcement specifically targets suspects that work in positions that involve children.

My favorite's the one where you see stings like this, where a pedophile has been working with children for decades, but never been found to have done so much as taken a picture of a child, let alone touched one sexually, yet they're still deemed sick for wanting to work with children. It's always, 'They haven't touched one yet, but they will one day with so many around,' as if 40 years isn't long enough, or, 'But how do you know they haven't touched one!' as if it is automatically given that this has to have happened. :palm2
'I maintain there is much more wonder in science than in pseudoscience. And in addition, to whatever measure this term has any meaning, science has the additional virtue, and it is not an inconsiderable one, of being true.” ~ Carl Sagan (1934 - 1996)

If someone were going to a house to call the authorities, what would they do about looking so suspicious when they got there? And how do they rebut having the address or information about the house enough to locate it, but going instead of just calling the authorities from home? I would at least make myself a recording on the way there. But I doubt that'd do much.

How do they know they are a paedophile if they haven't done anything?
If you can cross dress, you're probably attractive to me. I'm not a paedophile in that I'm not attracted to prepubescent bodies, but I don't really mind them and I've indulged in seeing who is attractive and gorgeous so much as a child and a teenager that I'm stuck this way, seeing the beauty in young boy's faces. I hope that makes sense.
