Also I hate Shauna and all but her daughter is sooooooo much worse. I keep hoping that smug bitch will die every time I see her.

I have a feeling you'll be disappointed.  I get the vibe they're setting her up to be the inheritor of all this psychosis and trauma set upon the YJ's.  Like she'll literally be the last one standing when the series wraps.  Thus implying that "the evil" lives on having been passed to the next generation keeping the conclusion more open ended for the viewer.

Perhaps less important, it also leaves an opening for a revival or sequel or whatever in the future.  On the business side of things, one can't ignore the way media companies will milk profitable IP for all its worth.
