What are your views on content 'creators' who waste or destroy loads of stuff for views on Tiktok, Instagram or YouTube?
Should there be a law to prohibit creation of such content?
A law forcing apps to make changes in their terms of use which will make it obligatory for them to suspend accounts who create/publish such content.

No. People are free to do as they wish as long as it's legal. If it's their property they're free to use it as they wish, even if it's wasteful. A law related to something like this would be difficult to enforce anyway.

Malaikah

Yes. They are free to do what they want. It's their property anyways.
What i was suggesting was making a video and sharing on social media should be banned.
Like the ban on creating porn in some countries.

I still don't think it should be banned. (I don't think porn should be banned either) I mean, just determining what constitutes "wasteful" or "destructive" content can be subjective and difficult to enforce consistently, especially with the amount of videos on those sites. It's also a limit on free speech (in the case of a country that has that)

My measure of something's moral status comes down to if the act is capable of harm. From there the  level of severity dictates whether or not I think it should be addressed legally. In the case of influencers destroying things, as long as it is their property and not someone elses, I don't see any potential for real harm. I then don't see why platforms should regulate such things. I may be missing something, so if I am please elaborate as to the potential harm.

Dumb, I don't watch these videos. But if it's their stuff, well, I waste my money on other things too, for various reasons. I think it shouldn't be banned.

Seems incredibly wasteful to buy something only to break it on purpose for the amusement of a bunch of online chuckle-fucks.  The externalized costs there are very high, especially if they're like smashing electronics.  You know, the world is on the verge of a horrendous war over semiconductors, and here's some retard on ticktock smashing ipads or whatever like it doesn't matter.  Just goes to show, we're still a bunch of hairless apes who can't see beyond our grasp.

All that said, no point in banning such content.  Just because it's stupid, doesn't mean it should be banned.  Stupid is the core of all that kind of short-format content.  Work on getting the Nazi propaganda off those platforms before anyone bothers getting rid of people wasting resources for clicks. :P
It's never so bad that it can't get worse.

Or a guy in a third world country experimenting and destroying stationery which he could have simply distributed among underprivileged kids instead.
Alas, that'd garner him some likes, but not enough views to make it go viral.
