Also, of note, skee apparently wanted it to be clear that producers were only to contact himself and Landlord for approval and advice. Now how did that young man who couldn't produce safely decide he was an arbiter of good security advice?
It sounds like they are talking about private messages, from the forum. What is NCC? I have not seen this mentioned anywhere, despite them naming all the other places by name.
I see them describe a place called "Hoarders Hell" which I have no knowledge of. But in other articles about Landlord, it is stated that he and another user on there, knew each others real identities. He even gave away his credit card info to this user, as crazy as it sounds, in exchange of some of his private collections. Later he and a Dutch user from hoarders hell, went to Romania together. Sounds like a lot of them knew each other pretty well. Well enough that they could give each other up. It was after the arrest of the Dutch man, that this Danish man was arrested.
NCC is Newcumer's Chat, a chatroom run by the admin team that ran TLZ and HH. All run by one fairly tight group of friends. If you go through some of my earlier posts on PSC, you can even see me doubting skee's claims that NCC had a secure admin team... Looks like one of us was right? :lol
A lot of details are known here and there. For now it is best to stay quiet until the busts and at least most of the trials are done. No reason to give LEA more than they already have.
Yes I agree. They are not exactly saving the details of this court case either. Personally I have been on a few of those sites, probably enough to identify which country I am from, which is already scary enough for me. But to actually meet up with other users, give credit card info, and travel to Romania to buy underage sex with these other members? Waaauw. How could they calmly do this, without being scared of being busted.
They are not even trying to get Landlord a prison sentence by the way, which would be between 8 to 12 years. They are instead attempting to give him the same treatment as Anders Breivik (yes the Norwegian man who shot up a whole island full of youngsters), meaning they can keep him however long they want, if they find him to be a danger to the outside community. In that case he will have to be evaluated every 2 year or so.
It does also mention that only about 20 people from hoarders hell have been arrested. Which further proves that Tor is still safe, and all you have to do yourself is not be an idiot.
I am fairly certain that Hoarder's Hell got shut down for having less than twenty members who cared to ever post...

In that amount of days, with that number of messages, and then moving to hours... it is hard to imagine that about thirteen messages were posted every hour on NCC - I think between people reading this post, more than thirteen messages an hour were posted. Either they only figured out how to alter the script at the tail end of their investigation, they could not access private messages (which appears impossible, thus my above comment on the system's functionality), or this is not a reference to NCC but rather TLZ.

They also question him about his rather weak defense, of the CP he created. He claims the photos he had taken, and called "Leanna and brothers" were not meant for distribution. Yet he has renamed it, and blurred out their faces. They ask him what the point of that is, if he did not want to distribute them.

It is fairly vague in the article, but my impression of it, is that they are talking about TLZ. They also did state, with the 700,000 number , that they expect many of them to be duplicates and it is probably a artificially high number.
I am not going to post all the links and stories, as there are many and there was several journalists live tweeting. So going to just do a summary, the best I can as there is a lot of information and a lot of confusion surrounding it from journalists.
Auke, (mentioned in the dutch sentencing link), is testifying against Landlord right now. Auke is the one who together with Landlord drove to Romania. Auke however claims he returned, when he realized Landlord was serious about buying a toddler. Again many personal connections with each other. Auke was also one of the administrators of Hoarders Hell, he says he became the third administrator after Landlord (founder) and Skee.
Skee is also going to testify against Landlord, and is going to do so in December through a webcam connection.
It was also revealed that the children Landlord (48 years old) produced CP with, were two of his close friends children. He often acted as a babysitter for them. The mother to the children, said they thought of Landlord as part of their family. The children had told their parents, after one night of babysitting, that Landlord had told them to go out into the bathroom and look at his penis. Landlord had told the mother that the children had gone out there on their own, and he had told them to leave. At first she believed him, but as time went on, more suspicious behavior started from him. She said there was never a smoking gun, but rather a lot of small things, that caught her eyes. He especially liked dressing the daughter up in dresses and putting makeup on her.
However, due to something not specified, Landlord and the father to the children, had assaulted the mother at some point No reason is given for this, but there was made a case out of it. During this, the government helped the mother and the children with psychological help and so on. Here the girl revealed everything that Landlord had done to her and her brother. This was reported to the police, but for some reason he was never charged, which really makes you wonder how close he was to being busted before this as well. He had been reported for sexually abuse by the mother twice, but nothing ever happened.
The father to the children, who landlord assaulted the mother with, also testified through webcam (from Uganda, where he got a new wife). The father was in the Netherlands together with Landlord, but went home before Landlord and Auke went to Romania. The father met Auke here, he also met him in Denmark once, when Auke visited Landlord. The father however claims he did not know about the sexual abuse.
The police had been trying to identify Landlord for some time, and when they busted a 66 year old man from Denmark, who was also a user on Hoarders Hell, they used this mans login for a long time to try and get Landlord to reveal his identity. However it seems like they were not done with this investigation, before they received a call from the Dutch police, who had identified him due to their own investigations. Again it seems like they knew a lot of people in real life, and that once one was busted, it snowballed from there.
It is also revealed that Landlord had 35000$ in a family members bank box. He had gotten these through loans, and they found evidence that he was planning to start a new life in Romania. His family member says, that he thought he started smuggling drugs, as Landlord for whatever reason was using the family member's "gas card". This meant the family member could see that he had been in Netherlands and driven to Romania, which he did after Landlord did not go home after the 3 days he thought he would be gone.
Landlord has pleaded guilty to the CP collection, to sexually assaulting the children, and to being the administrator of hoarders hell and TLZ.
Mentioned also that he has refused to decrypt his computers, and that they still do not have access to this. They have tried but have given up on decrypting them.
Hearing all of this, it is surprising he was not caught earlier. So many risky actions, and a mother to two kids he had produced CP of, had reported him twice. He had also sent that credit card info to a Swedish man in return of two drives of CP. He had gone to Romania with Auke, and he had told the Swedish man about this. His plan according to Auke and the Swedish man, was to buy a toddler and bring it to Sweden where they could be with the toddler together. Auke said he was sure that Landlord would have done it, if it had proven possible.
Like a much less secure but no less self-absorbed version of many other administrators we have seen come and go. Absolutely not a surprise, and certainly leaves lessons to be learned. Maybe there is an effort already ongoing to make sure we can all pick up a tip or two from the poor examples lain before us. ;)
Small update, not much new info but here is what I get out of it:
The Swedish man that Haba sent his credit card info to, in return of two drives full of child pornography, was a user with the name Nissehult. I assume that will ring a bell for some of you, for me it however does not.
Skee has testified against landlord/haba. Skee said that the talk about buying a toddler in Romania was a joke, but that he also knew of these plans that Landlord had. Other than that, it does not appear that he said much of note. Mostly he just explained why they had the rules about the producer section they did. Skee explained that Haba helped him find new material and that "if Haba had not seen it before, then it must be new".
The American TLZ administrator Neo also testified through webcam feed in court. He said that Landlord knew several producers all over the world.
It is expected that landlord will receive his sentencing December 17.
Thank you for that information. Nissehult is someone familiar to many, though not necessary a name you 'should' know, much like many others coming up. Though they weren't the 'top', it is interesting to see that the most attention from our corners is being given to those who were busted and had very large public personas.

I think the media is also giving the most attention, to those on top. It's hard for us to talk much about someone like Nissehult when there appears to be little information about his trial. He has been sentenced however, while Landlords sentencing has been delayed until February, without any reason states in any news. But it sounds like they have gotten overwhelmed with the amount of evidence and witnesses they have been able to bring in, with so many involved actually testifying in the case, many through webcam like Skee and Neo, while someone like Auke was actually transported from the Netherlands to the court house in Denmark.
On top of that, it seems like they got access to all the chat messages on ncc, that they have not gone through completely yet. Would not be surprised to see more busts when they have gone through all of those chat logs, from more people being very uncareful.
As of now, what the whole court case with landlord is about, is if he encouraged other users to make child porn. He defends himself saying the sexual assaults would have happened, no matter if there was a producer section and hoarders hell or not. That the guides he wrote to not getting caught was simply to help, and not to encourage the users for more child abuse. The defense seems rather weak, considering all the info they clearly got. He has already admitted guilty to himself sexually abusing kids, running or helped running the sites and so on. But he denies any responsibility in what other users have done, to get access to hoarders hell or producer sections on tlz.

David Cecchin and a family member, whose behaviour prompted a warning from Judge Rosemary Davey, outside the District Court.
A MAN who denies being an accomplice to evil paedophile Shannon McCoole wrote a letter to his previous lawyer defending the use of child exploitation material, a court has heard.
In his handwritten letter, David Glen Cecchin says it is "powerful" to see a child respond "positively" to sex acts being performed on them by adults.
He also discusses the isolation and scorn felt by child pornography users, and insists his interest is limited to images in which victims are "giggling and laughing".
As the letter was read aloud to the District Court on Wednesday, Cecchin repeatedly interrupted to claim it reflected not his views, but those of McCoole and his online porn ring.
His protests, and refusal to be silent, drew a stern rebuke from Judge Rosemary Davey.
"I will have you removed from my court if you don't obey what I say and, when I say 'removed', I mean into the cells," she said.
She also warned one of Cecchin's supporters, sitting in the court gallery, she would not tolerate being "mouthed at" by him.
Cecchin, 27, of Flagstaff Hill, is seeking to withdraw his guilty plea to one aggravated count of disseminating child pornography but maintains he is guilty of two other charges.
McCoole, a former Families SA carer, is serving a 35-year jail term for the horrific abuse of young children in his care, and for his role as "CEO" of the website.
On Wednesday, Cecchin said the letter to his former lawyer recounted "opinions that were shared with me" on the site and were "not mine personally".
Asked whether he had a sexual interest in children, he replied: "Not anymore ... it just dissipated."
Judge Davey suggested that may be "because the world now knows what you were doing", revoked Cecchin's bail and remanded him in custody until February.

Landlord has claimed in court, that police have told him he risks being extradited to the US, if he does not decrypt his computers. So far he has refused to open up his computers, and they are not attempting to brute forcing it, as they see it as a waste of time. That is the new tactic for European countries I guess, scaring them with the US.
More details includes that they in his basement found a child mannequin, makeup, photo set material and so on. Landlord has admitted that the makeup and photography sets was for the child he is charged with abusing, who is mentioned in a previous post. The mannequin he used for size measurements, to make clothes for the girl.
One of the investigators also mentioned, that it is really not a million dollar industry. Rather the currency on places like TLZ, is purely new or rare material. That is of course nothing new to us, but it was surprising to see an official person say that in court, rather than the old child porn industry comments.
The trial is now on hold until January and the time schedule has been pushed further. It is now expected he receives his sentencing in March.

I don't think I've ever seen or heard that mentioned in any sort of even remotely mainstream media outlet. They don't understand it's a barter economy and no cash trades hands among those with direct contact to the porn.
The trial has resumed.
The report on Landlords mental condition has been released in court. The report shows he is of normal intelligence, and shows no signs of mental illness. But it states he is of danger to society, as he shows no empathy or regrets towards his victims.
"He admits to being a pedophile, but refuses to admit it equals to sexual assaults against children" the prosecutor said in court (hah!). The report describes him as emotionally messed up, from a childhood with violence, problems in school and very little social relations. He has always had a hard time with females his own age, and has been interested in pre puberty girls since his own puberty.
As a result of the report, the prosecutor argues that Landlord should get the same kind of punishment, as Anders Breivik. Which would mean instead of a set amount of prison time (the maximum in Denmark, like in Norway, is very low), he should put in prison and evaluated every second year, to see if fit for release. This will allow them to extended his time inside prison indefinitely.

A small update:
So far, it has been forbidden to name Landlords name. A tv station making a documentary about him, has however gone to court to be allowed to name him by his real full name. They won the case, but Landlord appealed it. Landlord says he got a very unique middle name, which will lead to his family members being treated badly. Why exactly the tv stations thinks their documentary can not be shown, without his full name is unclear, but it is already made and they are just waiting to air it.
They also keep talking about the trip to Romania. When asked about the amount of money he went to Romania with Landlord said:
"I can not remember. If I had taken 30.000 kr with me or not, it is of no importance. I did not go to Romania to try and buy a baby. I am extremely tired of all this talk. I do not want to do this anymore. I am so tired of the talk about the Romania trip. You are making mountains out of a molehill. Me talking about this over." Landlord said, with the first sign of anger and emotions during the trial.
After having calmed down a bit, he added: "Do you realize how expensive gypsies are to be around? They take everything they can, everything you got."
The prosecutor however is not done with the Romania trip, and says there was clear intent of buying a toddler. This is based on chat logs they got, between Landlord, Nissehult and Skee.

Ulbricht's lawyers just posted a 170 page appeal -- they are attempting to get him a new trial.

Landlord is using a new and slightly pathetic defense. He is trying to not only talk down his role with TLZ and Hoarders Hell, even though they have a lot of chat logs to prove he actually did have a rather large role. But worse is him blaming his ex-wife, who he he got children (all now adults) with himself. He explains that he got heavily involved with the CP scene, in a period of his life where his ex-wife was drinking a lot, talking of how he had to take care of all their children himself. One of his children was later put in a foster home.
Other people on Tor is also partly to blame according to Landlord, as they always confirmed each other in what they were doing, was not bad and actually in some cases very good for the children, he says this influenced him a lot. To the psychologists he has admitted to being a pedophile and that he knew it was wrong, and always just wanted help to get rid of his urges. "I don't think it's fun to be this way. It's not something I have chosen to have. But I thought admitting I was a pedophile might result in getting some psychotherapy."
Another independent board, however also declared that he is possibly a danger to society, and that he show a lack of empathy and regret.
Landlord was in 2010, six months in prison, due to the violence towards his friends wife (the friend and wife who's children he molested) and breaking the gun law I described in an earlier post.
Gotta say he is not making a good case for himself.

Second, more vitally, how the hell did he get busted? This is someone who was very genuinely a technical genius. He ensured the safety of many many others, including still unbusted producers. Though others who are busted were technically smart (K-E, best example) they were socially weak. Neo was not, he was sealed up as tight as any. So, unless he was someone else in interactions with a person like Landlord or skee, which would be totally against his personality (and his ego, which didn't make him feel like he needed to cater to anyone), how could this have happened? It looks like the circumstances of his arrest as well as his real identity are being closely guarded by US LEA. How much digging will it take to uncover some facts.. Hmmmm.........
I guess seeing how the LEA uses their prisoners of war is nothing new to those that have seen countless movies, but to think that this is the reality is frightening. I wonder how long Neo will kowtow to the whims of the FBI before he realizes he is as much in prison as he would be in the actual institution. Well I was there at the day. It was a huge moment. I was there at the address and we went through his door. I don't think he quite realized how much we knew about him and who he was. He probably thought we were there because he had made some mistake online, and we were there maybe due to us thinking he had child porn on his computer. But I think when it dawned on him how much we knew, was when we asked to have a look at his hands, due to the freckles on his hands which were obviously photographed. At that point he realized that we knew a lot more about him and what he had done.
It is also further explained how the snowball effect really started. It started with Auke Vansickle, who for some reason had chatted to an FBI agent for some time. If the FBI later gave this chat user to Dutch police to keep chatting is not known, but at some point they managed to make him think he was about to meet up with another pedophile and share CP, at his very own house. This behavior was apparently not unusual. Here they of course found lots of child porn, but also an address on his computer, which led to Landlord. The police were still undercover, acting like Auke online, when they stormed Landlords house over a month later. They were chatting directly with Landlord to make sure he was online, under the pretense of being about to share new material with him. Landlords son says in an interview:

How funny that LEA did not know skee was from Australia until Landlord's bust...! I had thought that was common knowledge.
That a TLZ admin was chatting to LEA was known for some time...looks like they managed to take over a few identities and switch around with them to get past 'security'. Ioh was their security expert, yes, but once they had Haba and more it started to come together so so quickly. Why did these men make it easy? At least with DB it was just one leaky admin of an unrelated club leading to the leaky mods at DB, and Hawkeye managed to slip away. You would think these fellows would know better.

The name of Swedish NisseHult is Oscar Gyllhag. He got three years in the end (release after two) and will be out by June-July 2016 if memory serves.

Thanks for posting this update - absolutely astounding, to say the least! The breadth of these trials and the resulting tomes upon tomes of research I've dug up are shaping up to be a true crime thriller that I think most anyone would love. Unbelievable to have this ending to this one piece...while more goes on with Shannon condemning his employer, Neo trying to bust more folks, and more and more... Will we ever really see the end, I wonder.
